Saturday Sky on Tuesday?

I actually knit a little on the Cal scarf - no photos, because it kind of looks the same - but it's definitely past halfway. Which is good, because it uses the same size needles as the Tulip Sweater. I could get more needles, but really - I think the better way to go is to finish the darn scarf, and start the sweater - again, motivation! I want to start the sweater, therefore knit on the scarf. This could become a regular FO parade!

Because the last thing I want to do is increase the number of UFOs and WIPs. Not to be strict (that's so like being on a diet) but I'm just being realistic. If I don't have time to knit a scarf, then I don't have time to knit a sweater either.

But my this week's goal is to finish the scarf so I can start the sweater in time for Monday knitting! How about that for motivation?

This photo was taken this weekend at Moss Landing beach. The Sweetie and I had a strategic errand to run in the Bay Area, and joined his family tidepooling Saturday before heading home. It was a gorgeous, warm, sunny day. Although, truth be told, we agreed that we preferred our own local tidepools better - ours are a lot less crowded (and therefore less trampled upon) and you can see more closer to shore. We are so spoiled!

Finishing is so motivating! And I know what you mean about needles...having too many is just asking for more UFOs. I cannot allow myself to stash...every time I buy yarn I have a project in mind (which may bear no resemblence to what I eventually knit out of it!) but I do have a plan. And I try not to buy too far ahead- that way lies stashing...

I'm dying to see your tulips :).
